A 41-year-old Patterson man was arrested Tuesday after he slammed a woman’s fingers in a door and made threats on her life, St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert said in a news release.
—Patrick Patterson, 41, of the 100 block of Pecan Lane in Patterson, was arrested at 9:01 a.m. Tuesday for second degree battery, driving while intoxicated, open alcoholic container, and expired driver’s license. Investigating a report from Teche Regional Medical Center of a battery, a deputy located the suspect in the crime as he drove into a trailer park on Pecan Lane.
The deputy found the driver, Patterson, and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath. While speaking with Patterson, the deputy saw a drinking glass inside the vehicle, which had a strong odor of alcohol on it, Hebert said.
Patterson performed poorly on the field sobriety test and later registered .099 grams-percent blood alcohol concentration on the breath test, Hebert said. The deputy learned that Patterson intentionally slammed a female victim’s fingers in a door earlier that morning, he said. Patterson also made threats on the victim’s life, Hebert said. He was jailed.

—Garry Shene Jr., 45, of the 100 block of James Drive in Albany, Ga., was arrested at 7:36 p.m. Tuesday for simple criminal damage to property, simple battery, and disturbing the peace intoxicated. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at a motel in Bayou Vista. Deputies located Shene inside a motel room threatening two male victims.
The deputy learned that Shene and two men had been involved in an argument earlier in the evening that escalated into a physical encounter when Shene began pushing them. Shene left the room, but returned a short time later kicking the door open, grabbing one of the male victims by the throat and threatening him, Hebert said.
Following a brief altercation, Shene left the room a second time. He then returned continuing the threats against the two male victims. Deputies matched Shene’s boot to the imprint on the motel room door, Hebert said. Shene was jailed with no bail set.
—Timothy B. Pruett, 28, of the 300 block of Carol Road in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:09 p.m. Tuesday on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of stop sign violation, operating a vehicle with no insurance, and expired motor vehicle inspection. A deputy stopped Pruett on Anthony Street in Bayou Vista. Pruett was jailed with bail set at $5,000.
—Debra Glenn, 37, of Plantation Apartments in Morgan City, was arrested at 3:45 p.m. Tuesday on two warrants for issuing worthless checks. A deputy made contact with Glenn at a residence on Jupiter Street. Glenn was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 31.
—Joie A. Adams, 32, of the 300 block of Main Street in Patterson, was arrested at 7:04 p.m. Tuesday for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Adams was released on a summons to appear in court Jan. 31.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Schuyler Anthony Williams, 22, of the 1700 block of Harry D Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:03 p.m. Tuesday for criminal trespassing and carnal knowledge of a 14-year-old female juvenile. No bail is set at this time.
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrest:
—Harry J. Fluker, 56, of Poplar Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 6:53 a.m. Tuesday for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, violation of uniformed controlled dangerous substance law (within 1,000 feet of a school zone), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Detectives executed a search warrant at a Poplar Street residence as a result of an investigation into illegal narcotics trafficking from the residence, which is in close proximity to school property. During the search, investigators recovered suspected marijuana, scales and other items of paraphernalia. Fluker was jailed.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported no arrests.
