Concienne and Perez joined in marriage
Kelli Renee Concienne and Craig Lloyd Perez were joined in holy matrimony on Friday, November 18, 2011, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, in Jeanerette. The ceremony was officiated by the Reverend Father Jody Simoneaux.
The bride is the daughter of Lloyd and Darleen Concienne, of Franklin. She is the granddaughter of Ms. Beverly Dupre Concienne and the late Charles Ray Concienne Sr. of Franklin and the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis and Hazel Dumesnil, of Franklin. Kelli graduated from Hanson Memorial High School in 2000 and completed her bachelor of science degree in 2005 at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. She is a teacher at Glencoe Charter School.
The groom is the son of Ms. Janice Bourgeois and the late Mr. Harold Bourgeois, of Jeanerette. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert and Antoinette Perez of Jeanerette and the late Mr. and Mrs. Sulley and Inez Bourgeois of Jeanerette. Craig graduated from Jeanerette Senior High in 1996. He is employed with Streamline Industries.
Escorted by her father, the bride wore a beautiful gown of ivory luxe taffeta that featured a classically deep V-neckline and bodice of generous ruching. The gown was embellished with delicate lace appliqués of seed pearls and crystals. She wore a veil of silk illusion made for her by her godmother and carried a bouquet of delicate ivory roses and white calla lilies, the stems of which were wrapped with ivory satin ribbon. The rosary of her maternal grandmother, a valued family heirloom, was entwined in the blooms.
The bridesmaids wore knee-length cocktail dresses of teal organza. The dresses had a single left-shoulder strap and ruched bodices. Maid of honor was Leigh Landry, friend of the bride. Bridesmaids were Claire Landry, friend of the bride; Chantelle Charpentier, sister of the groom and Chrisie Perez, sister of the groom. Colleen Corcoran, godchild of the bride, and Carlee Charpentier, niece of the groom, served as flower girls.
Nick Buteaux, friend of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Chris Brasseaux, friend of the groom; Blaise Concienne, brother of the bride and Lonnie Myers, friend of the groom. The ushers were Jimmy May, friend of the groom, and Collin Charpentier, godchild of the groom.
A wedding reception for family and friends was held at Jeanerette Recreation Center.
