Northern Kentucky knocks off Tulane in OT, 91-86

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Jalen Billups came off the Northern Kentucky bench to score a career-high 25 points, 13 in overtime to lift the Norse past Tulane 91-86 Saturday night.

Billups' free throw with :15 left in regulation tied the game at 70-70. After Jay Hook scored to put Tulane up five seconds later, Tyler White scored on a layup with :04 left to forced overtime.

Billups scored 10 straight points for the Norse in overtime, and his three free throws in the final :12 hand the Green Wave its first loss.

Cole Murray had 17 points to help Northern Kentucky (1-4)get its first win of the season.

Hook finished with 29 points to lead Tulane (4-1), and Jonathan Stark added another 24. Louis Dabney had 19 points for the Green Wave, which got just four points from its bench in the game.
