Amy Senette took the ladies championship by defeating 2 time defending champion Ruthie Heard by 3 strokes. In the junior division 1st place was won by Kenton Sinitiere as he defeated 2nd place finisher Evan Thibodeaux and 3rd place finisher Jacob Daniels by 5 strokes.
The club championship was very successful as over 50 members participated this year. The weather was gorgeous and the golfers had a great time. The course itself is in the best condition it has been in for years and the owners wish to thank their members for their support. The top 12 finishers in the Championship flight as well as the Seniors flight qualified to represent The Belleview in a Ryder Cup Match against The St. Mary Golf Club from Berwick in mid-September. This team will be announced in a future article. Congratulations to all who qualified. Finally, on Thursdays at 5 o’clock, the club has been and will be holding 9 hole shootouts. An average of 30 people have been playing each week and are enjoying this format immensely. If you would like to play just call the course (337-828-2572) and sign up to have a great time.
