No. 7 St. Edmund pounded the baseball en route to an easy 8-1 victory against No. 6 Central Catholic in Class 1A semifinal action at McMurry Park Friday.

Eagles to face Blue Jays in Class 1A semifinal

Central Catholic High School will make its fourth Class 1A semifinal appearance in as many years when the Eagles step on the field Friday to face St. Edmund in a 5 p.m.

Championship drought continues

The Central Catholic Eagles’ baseball team has been on the cusp of a state championship the past two seasons, falling in the Class 1A title game.

CCHS to host St. Mary’s in Class 1A quarterfinals

No. 3 Central Catholic will look to advance to its third straight Class 1A semifinals when it hosts No. 11 seed St. Mary’s School in Amelia Saturday at 6 p.m.

CCHS falls in Class 1A semifinals
