Centerville hammers Lafayette Christian
CENTERVILLE — Peyton Landry did the pitching while Chance Landry supplied the power as the Centerville Bulldogs hammered Lafayette Christian 11-1 in District 8-B action here at the Centerville High School Baseball Field.
Peyton Landry picked up the mound victory after tossing five innings, allowing one unearned run on three hits with four strikeouts and four walks.
Chance Landry ripped a two-run homer while going 2 for 3 with four RBI.
Other top hitters for the Bulldogs were: Tristian Duncan, 2 for 3, 2 RBI; Tyler Theriot, 2 for 4, RBI; Devin Pontiff, 1 for 1, RBI and Peyton Landry, 1 for 2.
Centerville will play host to the Franklin Hornets today at 4 p.m. in a non-district contest.
The Centerville Bulldogs, who are currently 3-2 in league play, will host Holden on Monday in makeup district game at 3 p.m.
