Centerville’s Hebert tosses perfect game in 16-0 victory

BATON ROUGE — Centerville Lady Bulldogs reached the 20-win plateau in grand fashion with winning pitcher Carrie Hebert tossing a perfect game while blowing away the Hosanna Lady Blazers 16-0 in District 8-B action here Thursday in league action.

Centerville (20-1) upped its current District 8-B record to a flawless 7-0 mark with the victory over Hosanna.

Centerville pitcher Carrie Hebert tossed a perfect game, hurling three scoreless innings, striking out five of the nine batters she faced, surrendering no hits while walking none.

Leading hitters for the Centerville Lady Bulldogs were: Summar White, 1 for 1, 3 RBI, 2 runs; Lacy LaGrange, 2 for 3, double, single, 3 RBI, 2 runs; Reagan Romero, 3 for 3, 2 singles, double, 2 RBI, 2 runs; Brooke Boudreaux, 3 for 3, 2 singles, double, run; Taylor Saucier, 2 for 2, double, triple, 3 RBI; run; Grace Leblanc, 2 runs scored; Courtney Landry, 2 for 3, RBI, 2 singles, 2 runs; Ashton Landry, 1 for 1, single, 2 runs scored and Victoria Theriot, 1 for 1, single, 2 runs.

Next district matchup is Tuesday, April 10th at Holden High School.
