Cefalu-Leonard exchange nuptials
Elizabeth Marie Cefalu and Devin Jude Leonard were married July 16 during a 2 p.m. double-ring ceremony at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Broussard. The Rev. Louis Richard officiated the private nuptial Mass.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth C. Cefalu of Broussard. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Mark Leonard Sr. of Morgan City.
For the occasion, church pews were adorned with ivory dupioni silk markers embellished with Swarovski crystals and a calla lily. In front of the main altar and upon the back altar were large arrangements of blue hydrangeas, pink Alaskan peonies and white roses.
Music was by vocalist Andrea Mouton, organist Patrick Melancon, trumpeter Will Green and violinist Loren Laing.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in an ivory gown of silk chiffon. The bodice was embellished with pearls, crystals and silk flower petals that complemented the a lace-up back.
She carried a bouquet of white calla lilies and peonies accented by an antique sterling silver and crystal rosary, a family heirloom.
Emily Anna Cefalu was her twin sister’s maid of honor. She wore a short dress of heather blue chiffon complemented with a birdcage veil. Her bouquet was coral peonies, lilies and blue hydrangeas with a hand-tied detail.
Bridesmaids wee Bobbie Case Waguespack, Helena Carriere Cefalu and Jessica Noelle Orlando.
The groom’s father served as best man. Groomsmen were Curtis Mark Leonard Jr., Brandon Leonard and Scott Leonard.
Ushers were Justin Michael Orlando and James Paul Doiron III.
A reception followed at the Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette.
Prior to the wedding, a reception was held at the Camellia Room of River Oaks in Lafayette. Food was provided by Chef Brian Blanchard, cousin of the bride.
The bride graduated from St. Thomas More High School in Lafayette and is a senior at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette where she is majoring in Communicative Disorders.
The groom graduated Central Catholic High School in Morgan City in 2004. He is employed at Coastal Tank Cleaning in Morgan City.
They reside in Lafayette.
