CCHS moves up in rankings

Central Catholic was the only local team to move up in the latest unofficial volleyball power rankings released by the Louisiana High School Athletic Association’s prep volleyball power rankings released Tuesday morning.

Central Catholic moved up one spot to No. 2 in Division 5 (Classes A, B and C) with a ranking of 14.47. As of Tuesday morning, the Lady Eagles had a 13-8 overall mark, although the squad won again Tuesday and its record now stands at 14-8.

Episcopal School of Acadiana is No. 1 in Division 5 with a 22-3 mark and a 15.46 power ranking.

In Division 3, Berwick slipped two spaces from 18th to 20th in the latest rankings. Berwick has an overall ranking of 6.81. It had a 5-14 record as of Tuesday morning, although the squad lost toe Vanderbilt and …. in action since then.

Patterson remained idle at No. 21 in the latest rankings. The squad has a 10-8 overall mark and a 6.74 ranking.

E.D. White is the No. 1 team in Division 3 with a 21-8 overall mark and a power ranking of 13.83.

In Division 2, Morgan City slipped one spot to No. 12 in the latest ranking. The Lady Tigers have a power ranking of 9.80 and currently hold a 13-10 overall mark.
