Carrie Topham Dimiceli
July 8, 1922 — August 17, 2013
Carrie Topham Dimiceli, a native of Morgan City, died Saturday afternoon, Aug. 17, 2013, at Morgan City Health Care Center surrounded by her family. In life she was Carrie Dimiceli, but she wishes to be remembered as Carrie Agnes Topham.
She is survived by her children, Linda Freia Seruntine, Susan Freia Legendre, Buddy Freia, Danny Freia, and her daughter in spirit, Joy Templet. She leaves behind her grandchildren, Tana LeBlanc, Richelle Acosta, Jessica Martin, Sean Howell, Danny Paul Freia Jr., and her granddaughter in spirit, Angie Peters; her great-grandchildren, Derek LeBlanc, Cameron Perera, Caitlin Perera, Hannah Acosta, Olivia Acosta, Abigail Howell, Carter Martin, Emily Howell and Conner Martin; a son-in-law, Charles Seruntine; and two grandsons-in-law, Chip Acosta and Casey Martin; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Louise Topham; her siblings, John Topham, Eunice Geoffrey, Nora Comeaux, Mildred Topham, Herbert Topham and Maisie Topham; a niece, Geraldine Geoffrey; and a son-in-law, Sonny Legendre.
The family will receive family and friends at Sacred Heart Church beginning at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, until Mass time at 11 a.m. followed by interment at the Morgan City Mausoleum.
A special thanks to the people at Morgan City Health Care and Southern Care Hospice who looked after her as well as Ann and Dan Powell who faithfully brought her communion and sometimes stayed to play Scrabble with her.
