Ribbon-cutting ceremony at Subway in Amelia

The St. Mary Parish Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the business Saturday, which was followed by a grand opening celebration. Among those present for the ribbon-cutting ceremony were Donna Meyer, chamber president; Frank Fink, parish economic development director; Bob Harrison, chamber board member; Mike Heck, broker and owner of Heck Realty; Karen Froreich, M C Bank vice president of consumer lending; Lisa Nezat Patterson, chamber marking director; Eddie Nezat; and Clarence Denenea, Subway field consultant.

Acadian honored by Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation

The Upper Lafayette Economic Development Foundation honored the Acadian Companies at its fourth annual Honoring Upper Lafayette Success Stories luncheon Jan. 22.

Broussard awarded

Leo Broussard, left, recently was recognized by the Louisiana Banker Association for the 47 years he has dedicated to his banking career. Presenting the plaque is Larry J. Callais, president and CEO of M C Bank, on behalf of the association. Broussard began his banking career in 1966 and is presently the Lafayette Branch Officer at their 115 Verot School location where he works as vice president and loan officer.
