Breaux-Ranson exchange vows in New Orleans
Immaculate Conception Jesuit Church in New Orleans was the setting Nov. 19 when Ashley Nicole Breaux and Andrew Michael Ranson were united in holy matrimony. The Rev. Michael Schneller officiated the 6 p.m. double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Derwin and Yvette Breaux of Berwick. The groom is the son of Daniel and Jan Ranson of Metairie.
For the ceremony, the altar held two traditional-style arrangements of white hydrangea, ivory roses, spray roses and black curly willow branches. Flanking each side of the aisle were six, whitewashed lanterns with pillar candles.
Music was by Trish Genco and Vance Woolf.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride was attired in a fit and flare couture gown designed with a unique sweetheart neckline and Battenburg-lace overlay. The waist was accented with a band encrusted with Swarovski crystals in marquise and emerald shapes. Hand-applied organza florals adorned the gown. The skirt and chapel-length train was highlighted with large circular rosettes in organza.
Gracing her head was a bird cage veil.
She carried a hand-tied bouquet of all white and ivory Vendela roses, Majolica spray roses, garden roses, peonies and ranunculus set in white hydrangea. Entwined in the bouquet was a rosary belonging to her mother. Completing the arrangement was a ribbon stem wrap of ivory double-faced satin with pearl button closures.
Brittany Breaux was her sister’s maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathryn Menard, cousin of the bride; Lauren Miller; Jordan Written; Jennifer Morella; Andre’ Stein and Dara Schroeter, sisters of the groom; and Tricia Breaux, sister-in-law of the bride.
Bridal attendants each wore a gown of fluted black Dupioni featuring a back skirt bustle, a strapless surplice neckline and a ruched empire band adorned with a flower.
They carried hand-tied bouquets of white anemones over a bed of white hydrangea with accents of white ranunculus and clusters of tiny black berries. Completing the bouquets was a ribbon stem wrap of ivory with a black-lace overlay and pearl button closures.
Aubrey Stein, godchild and niece of the bride, was flower girl.
Ringbearer was Carter Whipple.
Daniel Ranson Jr. was his brother’s best man. Groomsmen were Austin Stein and Adam Schroeter, brothers-in-law of the groom; Kyle Breaux, brother of the bride; Patrick Hasling; Chad Birkoff; Aaron Gerrets and Albert Bowes.
Ushers were Hunter Menard, Justin Biernier, Spencer Morgan and Casey Cramond.
A reception followed in The Federal Ballroom in New Orleans.
The wedding cake was five-tiered confection in ivory decorated with fresh hydrangeas, garden roses and peonies. Icing swirls and scrolls highlighted each tier.
