Bowling bi-regional brackets announced
The Morgan City boys are the top seed in the state’s prep bowling western bi-regional, while the Morgan City girls are seeded No. 7 in the western bracket, which were both released Wednesday as well as the list of bowlers who will be participating in singles.
The Morgan City boys will receive a first-round bye in bi-regionals, which will be held Monday at Creole Lanes in Houma.
The Tigers will face the winner of No. 8 seed Lafayette and No. 9 seed Terrebonne at 1:30 p.m. Monday during bi-regional action.
If the Tigers win, they will play again at 3:30 p.m. for the right to return to the state’s Final Four at Acadiana Lanes in Lafayette April 12.
In girls’ action, Morgan City is seeded No. 7 in the Bi-Regionals and will start tournament play Monday at 1:30 p.m. against No. 2 seed Airline.
If they win, they will advance to face the winner of No. 3 Comeaux and No. 6 Lafayette at 3:30 p.m. The winner of that contest will advance to the girls’ Final Four, also set for April 12 at Acadiana Lanes.
In singles’ action, even Quick and Carl Reed, both of Berwick, will bowl at 11:30 a.m. Monday at Creole Lanes in Houma.
At 1:30 p.m. Monday, Central Catholic’s Jada Pennison, and Berwick’s Lauran Delco and Elle Arcemont will participate in girls' singles action.
