Boudreaux-McMurtry wed in July 13 ceremony
Cassie Lynn Boudreaux and Daniel James McMurtry were united in matrimony July 13 at River Oaks Pavilion in Lafayette. The Rev. Weldon Moak officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Annette and Artie Boudreaux of Patterson. The groom is the son of Jim and Sally McMurtry of North Platte, Neb.
For the occasion, the pavilion decorations included two tall, clear white vases filled with white flowers and willows accented with hanging crystals.
Music was by organist Melissa LaCour and soloist Sarah Clement.
Readers were Becky Guarisco, godmother of the bride and Tanya Wirtz.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride wore a floor-length gown of white satin designed with a strapless sweetheart neckline. Accenting the waist was a belt of rhinestones and pearls.
Her fingertip-length veil was edged in rhinestones.
She carried a bouquet of ivory roses, white peonies, hydrangea and dahlia accented by rhinestones.
Rachel Auenson was maid of honor and Danielle Greene was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Courtney Richardson, Courtney Tatman, Anna Papa, Jessica Boudreaux, sister-in-law of the bride and Jennifer Michel.
Junior bridesmaids were McKenzie Polk, niece of the groom and Madeline Duhon.
Matt McMurtry served his brother as best man. Groomsmen were Josh Broussard, Lance Polk, brother-in-law of the groom; Dallas Morris, Jason Jurgens, Jerod Duhon and Ruben Vieyra.
Junior groomsmen were Beau Boudreaux, nephew of the bride and Jackson Polk, nephew of the groom.
Austin McMurtry, nephew of the groom, was ringbearer.
Ushers were Shane Boudreaux and Coe Boudreaux, brothers of the bride; Marcus Holguin and Jason Keck.
A reception followed in the River Oaks Napoleon Room.
The bride’s cake was a white round confection in three tiers. Each tier and the cake’s top held flowers matching the bride’s bouquet.
The groom’s chocolate sheet cake with strawberries depicted the Nebraska Cornhuskers logo, Ragin’ Cajun logo and pictures of the bride and groom’s dogs.
Prior to the wedding, a rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Lake Dupuis in Lafayette. Guests were served crawfish etouffee, fish, brisket, rice dressing, corn and dessert.
The bride is a graduate of Patterson High School, the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and Aveda Institute in Lafayette.
The groom is a graduate of North Platte High School, ULL and earned a master’s degree from Arkansas State University. He is a principal at Madison Middle School in North Platte, Neb., where the newlyweds reside.
