Berwick council to hold hearing on budget
The Berwick Town Council meets Tuesday to consider budgets and amendment of water rates.
While the regular meeting begins at 7 p.m., a public hearing will be held at 7:15 p.m. to gather comment on the amended 2011-12 budget, the 2012-13 proposed budget and the amended water rates. Those changes are expected to be approved during the regular meeting.
Also on the agenda are the town’s holiday schedule for the coming fiscal year, a discussion concerning Progressive Waste and the naming of a replacement to the Berwick-Bayou Vista Joint Waterworks Commission Board.
The National Night Out Against Crime’s parade permit will be considered as will partial payment requests for the contractor and engineer working on Renwick Phase V.
A proclamation for the Red Ribbon Committee, a resolution of respect for Jack Boudreaux and a resolution of recognition for Harold Adams are on the agenda as well.
The meeting is held at the Berwick Town Hall and is open to the public.
