Bayou Vista woman arrested on warrants for simple battery

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrest:

—Teraza Bearfoot Foster, 46, of Carol Road in Bayou Vista, was arrested Wednesday on a warrant for theft of goods. A deputy located Foster at her residence on the warrant. She was taken to the parish jail and held. She was released on bail.

Patterson police arrested the following:

—Hakeemia Bias, 19, of Friendship Alley in Amelia, was arrested at 11:29 a.m. Saturday for no driver’s license, no license plate and misuse of template. Bias was released on bail.

—Kevin D. Gant, 44, of Live Oak Street in Patterson, was arrested at 1:09 p.m. Saturday for expired motor vehicle inspection sticker, no driver’s license, no proof of insurance and expired license plate. Gant paid the fine and was released.

—Jayevan Key, 19, of Live Oak Street in Patterson, was arrested at 6:45 p.m. Monday for illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of an underage person and contributing to the delinquency of a person under 17. Key is still being held.

—Amy Davis, 29, of Taft Street in Patterson, was arrested at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday for suspended driver’s license, no insurance and speeding 1 to 10 mph more than the speed limit. Davis was released on a summons per Chief Patrick LaSalle.

—Damian Brown, 30, of Mercury Street in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 1:02 p.m. Tuesday for cocaine first offense and suspended driver’s license. Brown was released on bail.

—John Alcina, 28, of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard in Patterson, was arrested at 1:02 p.m. Tuesday for cocaine first offense. Alcina is still being held.

Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported the following arrests:

—Nicholas Hernandez, 21, of Belanger Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 9:09 a.m. Wednesday after an officer located Hernandez at his residence. The officer, who was aware of the outstanding arrest warrant, confirmed the warrant, and arrested Hernandez on a warrant for a probation violation. He was taken to jail and released after posting $1,000 bail.

—Tara Fraijo, 41, of Kentucky Street in Morgan City, was arrested at 12:54 p.m. Wednesday after officers received information that Fraijo was at the Hampton Inn in Morgan City and was wanted by Morgan City police on outstanding warrants. Officers went to the Hampton Inn where they located Fraijo. She was arrested on warrants for two separate counts of simple battery. She was taken to jail and released after posting $1,500 bail.

—A juvenile, 15, of Morgan City, was arrested at 3:54 p.m. Wednesday after detectives, responding to a tip from a citizen, located the juvenile at his residence. The investigation and subsequent arrest was a result of a complaint of an unknown subject spraying graffiti at a local business, damaging the property. Detectives arrested the juvenile and also found the juvenile to possess tobacco products. The juvenile was transported to the police department where the juvenile was booked and released to a parent.

Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:

—Orion McCranie, 33, of Wilson Street in Berwick, was arrested at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday for theft. McCranie was released on $200 cash bail.

St. Martin Parish Sheriff Ronny Theriot reported the following arrest:

—Linda Dauzat, 46, of Roderick Street in Morgan City, was arrested for failure to appear.
