Bayou Vista water line work
Workers install a water line in Bayou Vista as part of a water line upgrade that is estimated to cost $440,000, Water and Sewer District 2 Supervisor Glen Elliott said. In addition to putting in the water line, fire hydrants are also being installed in the area of Southeast Boulevard, Evergreen Avenue and Fairmont Avenue. Work began July 24, and the completion date is projected for mid-November, Elliott said. The contractor for the project is Gray Brothers in Morgan City, and the subcontractor is David Louque Road Boring Company in Paulina.
