Bayou Vista man, woman arrested on drug charges
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office made the following arrests overnight, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert:
—Tracy Anita Thomas, 44, of Florida Street, Morgan City, was arrested at her residence at 11:57 a.m. Wednesday on a warrant for failure to appear for issuing worthless checks. She remains jailed with a $1,250 bail.
—Daniel Lee Robertson, 27, of Jones Road, Jeanerette, was arrested at 5:02 p.m. Wednesday on Big Four Corners Road in Jeanerette on three warrants from Iberia Parish for failure to appear on charges of driving under suspension, speeding, driving with headphones on, and no seat belt. Robertson was arrested when a deputy was responding to a complaint of a vehicle crash. He remains jailed with bail not set.
A man and woman residing on Fairmont Avenue in Bayou Vista were arrested at 2:37 p.m. Wednesday on drug charges resulting from a separate investigation in which agents located pills on the woman during a traffic stop:
—Steve Anthony Berryhill, 41, was arrested on warrants for possession of methamphetamine, possession of legend drug (Diclofenac), possession of schedule II (Vyvanse), possession of legend drug (Lamictal), possession of legend drug (Seroquel), possession of legend drug (Welbutrin), possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance.
—Tanya Carter, 34, was arrested on warrants for possession of Schedule IV (Valium), possession of Schedule III (Suboxen), and possession of Schedule IV (Alprozolam).
They remain jailed with bail not set.
The Patterson Police Department reports the following arrest this morning, according to Chief Patrick M. LaSalle:
—Carmel James Triggs Jr., 30, of Cleveland Street, Patterson, was arrested at 2:05 a.m. today on Tall Timber Lane for unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and a warrant from the sheriff’s office for criminal neglect of family. He remains jailed with bail not set.
The Morgan City Police Department reported one arrest overnight, according to Assistant Chief Glenn Blanco:
—Roderick Hunter, 21, of Wren Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 2:28 a.m. today on Veterans Boulevard on warrants from Morgan City police for no driver’s license and improper lane usage.
He remains jailed with a $526 bail.
