Bayou Vista man arrested for domestic violence
The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office reports the following arrests, according to Sheriff Mark Hebert:
—Marchall Spires, 45, of Teche Road, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 12:34 p.m. Friday for domestic abuse battery. He is alleged to have struck a female several times in the face. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.
—Shane Darrell Todd, 36, of Murphy Street, Patterson, was arrested at 9:30 p.m. Friday on Willow Bend Lane in Patterson on warrants for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family. He remains jailed with $11,157.35 bail.
—Gregory Charles Hartman, 59, of Oregon Street, Berwick, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. Saturday at the Plantation Inn in Bayou Vista for possession of drug paraphernalia.
—Jeri Michelle Holley, 41, of Marin Street, Patterson, was arrested at 7:47 p.m. Saturday at the Plantation Inn in Bayou Vista for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hartman and Holley were arrested when a deputy responded to a complaint of possible drug use in one of the rooms at the motel. They were both issued summonses to appear in court.
—Olbin López, 30, of La. Highway 182, Amelia, was arrested at 1:25 a.m. Sunday at Sandy’s Bar and Grill in Amelia for aggravated battery and disturbing the peace by fighting. A deputy responded to a complaint of a knife fight in progress at the bar. Upon entering the bar the deputy observed two males who appeared to be in an arm lock. The deputy learned from the victim and witnesses that López pulled a knife and swung it at the victim during an argument. The victim sustained a cut on his hand. Acadian Ambulance treated the victim’s wound on scene. López remains jailed with bail set at $10,250.
The Patterson Police Department reported the following arrests over the weekend, according to Chief Patrick M. LaSalle:
—Jody DeLaune, 59, of Red Cypress Road, Patterson, was arrested at 8:34 a.m. Sunday on Red Cypress Road for driving while intoxicated and improper braking with accident. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.
—Ryan Paul Palmature, 24, of Clements Street, Morgan City, was arrested at 10:55 a.m. Saturday at the intersection of Tiffany and Veterans streets for general speed law violation and driving under suspension. He was released on payment of cash bail of $466.
—Sal Guerrero, 34, of Romero Road, New Iberia, was arrested Saturday on U.S. Highway 90 at Ganaways for driving without a license and no proof of insurance. He was released on payment of cash bail of $400.
—Kristopher R. Murray, 30, of Oakington Street, Houston, was arrested at 3:49 p.m. Saturday at U.S. Highway 90 and Veterans for driving while intoxicated and careless operation. He remains jailed with bail not yet set.
—Nolan Kendrick, 22, of Beau Lane, Bayou Vista, was arrested at 10:44 a.m. Sunday on a warrant for failure to appear for unnecessary noise. He was released upon payment of cash bail of $406.
—Lorraine Butler, 50, of Williams Street, Patterson, was arrested at 1:14 p.m. Sunday on Park Street on a warrant for theft under $100. She was released upon payment of cash bail of $384.
The Morgan City Police Department made the following arrests on Monday, according to Chief Marc Folse:
—Bernard Liverman, 39, of Magnolia Street, Amelia, was arrested at 6:14 p.m. at Lawrence Park during the Shrimp & Petroleum Festival for resisting an officer and disturbing the peace intoxicated.
Liverman was arrested at the park after officers working the music stage learned that he was on the dance floor and was highly intoxicated, nearly falling down. Officers confronted him, attempted to call him a cab to take him home, but while waiting for one to arrive, Liverman became uncooperative, the report stated. Liverman remains jailed with bail set at $748.
—Ashley Dehart, 27, of Bush Street, Morgan City, was arrested at his residence at 8:50 p.m. for domestic second-degree battery. Dehart remains jailed with bail not yet set.
