Horsehoe pitchers place at Harahan event

Morgan City horseshoe pitchers were represented in Class A and Class B of the Harahan Horseshoe Classic. In Class A, Al Dodson placed third with a 3-2 record and a ringer percentage of 37.5, while in Class B, Burnie Williams of Morgan City finished third with a 4-3 mark and a ringer percentage of 23.9. Gilmore places at Cajun Classic

Bayou Horseshoe Pitchers Association’s Tim Gilmore won Class A at the Cajun Classic Horseshoe Tournament in Welsh March 22. Gilmore won the event in a three-way playoff with Pat Pertuit of Westwego and Sharla Fontenot of Lacassine. Gilmore defeated Pertuit before topping Fontenot to win the championship.
