Autism benefit walk is Saturday

The fourth annual “Hunting for the Missing Pieces” 5K Run/Walk, an autism awareness fundraiser put on by the Autism Society of Bayou Louisiana, will be held Saturday at Morgan City Junior High School.
The race starts at 8:30 a.m., but registration will be held beginning at 8 a.m. The registration fee is $25 for adults and $10 for students. Students must have their race ID.
Saturday’s event is for all runners, walkers and race walkers. It is 3.1 miles and will start at Tiger Stadium.
All entrants must fill out their entry form completely and sign a waiver.
No roller blades are permitted.
After the race, an awards ceremony will be held as well as a post-race party with complimentary food and refreshments for runners and walkers.
There also will be activities for youngsters as well as a silent auction, door prizes and a disc jockey on site.
In the event of cancellation due to weather, no refunds will be given. Race numbers will not be mailed.
