Attempted murder charged in Ricohoc
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported that a Ricohoc man was arrested Monday on charges of two counts of attempted aggravated second-degree murder.
Eric J. Vining, 36, of 415 Hunting Road, was charged at 2 p.m. after deputies responded to a hang-up call from the residence.
They found Vining’s mother and father with cuts to the throat. A knife was reportedly used as the weapon.
Both were rushed to Teche Regional Medical Center in Morgan City. No details were available on their conditions.
Vining was held with no bond set.
