Armond “Buddy” Picou

Sept. 7, 1942 — July 31, 2011

Armond “Buddy” Anthony Picou, 68, a lifelong resident of Morgan City, passed away Sunday, July 31, 2011, at his home.

Armond was born Sept. 7, 1942, the son of Armond Joseph and Evelia Mary Rhodes Picou. Later in life he married Catherine Sue Carter.

He is survived by his wife; one daughter, Kathy Lince; two sons, Michael Picou and David James Picou; five granddaughters; one grandson; one sister, Helen Pilgrim; and three brothers, Regan Picou, Ralph Picou and Ervin Picou.

Armond was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Maryanne Carter; and two brothers, Alton Picou and Earl Picou.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Twin City Funeral Home in Morgan City.

Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. today, Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at Twin City Funeral Home and will resume from 9 a.m. until the time of the service Wednesday.

Armond will be laid to rest in Morgan City Cemetery immediately following the funeral services.
