Area police departments make numerous arrests
According to Sheriff Mark Hebert, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office made the following arrests overnight:
—Toby J. Bourg, 39, of Southeast Boulevard, Bayou Vista, arrested at his residence Thursday at 7:16 a.m. on two warrants for failure to comply with drug court. Booked into the parish jail with a $200,000 bond and later released.
—Teri A. Russell, 47, of Travis Street, Waco, Texas, arrested Thursday at 11:17 p.m. at the Bayou Vista Truck Stop for disturbing the peace intoxicated. Booked into the parish jail with a $250 bond.
—Carren N. Comeaux, 31, of Mouffet Court, Morgan City, arrested Thursday at 1:34 p.m. in the parking lot of the Circle K in Amelia for possession of Roxicodone, possession of drug paraphernalia and illegal use of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile. Booked into the parish jail with no bond yet set.
—Kary Alexia, 46, of Second Street, Berwick, arrested Thursday at 5:54 p.m. for possession of methamphetamine and brake lights required. Booked into the parish jail with no bond yet set.
The Berwick Police Department made the following arrests overnight, according to Chief James Richard.
—Jonathan Ashley, 23, La. 182, Franklin, arrested at 11:10 a.m. Thursday in Berwick jail for introducing contraband into a penal institution. Remains incarcerated in parish jail in Centerville with no bond yet set.
—Gregory Parker, 17, and his sister Kristen Parker, 20, of Oregon Street, Berwick, arrested at their residence at 2:41 p.m. yesterday for disturbing the peace by fighting. Both released after posting bond of $150, but it was discovered that K. Parker had outstanding warrants in Patterson.
According to Chief Patrick LaSalle, the Patterson Police Department made the following arrests overnight.
—Kristen Layne Parker, 20, Oregon Street, Berwick, arrested by PPD at 7 p.m. Thursday on warrants of failure to appear on a traffic charge of failure to yield with an accident. Remains incarcerated with no bond yet set.
—Teresa Lynn Barnett-Pryor, no age given, of Flynt Road, Laurel, Miss., arrested Thursday at 6:02 p.m. on U.S. 90 for careless operation of a motor vehicle with an accident, driving while intoxicated first offense, no motor vehicle registration, and no proof of insurance. Remains incarcerated with no bond yet set.
—Troy S. Richardson, 19, of St. Mary Street, Patterson, arrested today at 2:34 a.m. on Gabriel Street for having sagging pants. Remains incarcerated with a $244 bond.
The Morgan City Police Department made two arrests in the last day, according to Chief Marc Folse.
—Pearl Ross, 28, of Verrett Street, Amelia, arrested Thursday at 11:20 a.m. at Walgreen’s and charged with theft by shoplifting. Items she concealed in her purse had a total retail value of $220.57. A syringe with suspected cocaine residue found in her purse will be sent to the Acadiana Crime Lab for testing. Incarcerated with no bond yet set.
—Roy Rowell, 51, unknown address, arrested this morning at 12:03 a.m. on the 700 block of Greenwood Street and charged with disturbing the peace intoxicated. Officers were called to the scene because Rowell was lying in the middle of the street. Booked and incarcerated with no bond yet set.
