Amelia man arrested for three counts of telephone harassment
St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert reported the following arrest:
—Christopher Early, 32, of Cajun Way in Amelia, was arrested at 5:21 p.m. Tuesday, for three counts of telephone harassment.
A deputy received information that Early harassed workers at both the Clerk of Court Office and Battery Intervention Center. Early was located at his place of employment in Morgan City. During the investigation, the deputy learned that Early cursed repeatedly over the phone and made threats towards the victims and the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Early was taken to the parish jail and held. His bail is set at $3,000.
Berwick Police Chief James Richard reported the following arrest:
—Larry Soileau, 53, of Patty Lane in Bayou Vista, was arrested at 5:05 p.m. Tuesday for driving under suspension and an open container. Soileau was released on a $1,250 bail.
Patterson Police Chief Patrick LaSalle reported the following arrest:
—Carlos Brooks, 28, of First Street, was arrested for simple battery (domestic) and resisting an officer (failure to comply). Police said that during an argument with the victim over a cell phone, Brooks became forceful, pushing the victim around and grabbed her by the arms. He remains in jail.
Morgan City Police Chief Travis Crouch reported no arrests.
