Alton J. “Bubba” Dugas, 53, a resident and native of Franklin, died Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at 2:40 a.m., at Franklin Foundation Hospital.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 20, at Jones Funeral Home in Franklin, from 10 a.m. until funeral service at 1 p.m.

Alton leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Willie Mae McDaniel Dugas of Franklin; two sons, David Dugas of Houma and Alton Dugas III of Atlanta; four stepsons, Travis McDaniel, Robert McDaniel, Ronald Keith McDaniel and Courtney McDaniel, all of Franklin; two daughters, Ettonescia Dugas of Atlanta and Latoya Johnson of St. Joseph; four stepdaughters, Shantelle McDaniel, Lateshia Auguman, Anna McDaniel and Kendra McDaniel, all of Franklin; five brothers, Benjamine Dugas of Florida, Willie (Gwendolyn) Douglas and David (Dorothy) Douglas, both of Patterson, Gregory Levine of Maine and Charles Perro of Franklin; 10 sisters, Mrs. Clarence (Ada) Lightfoot, Mrs. Mark (Billie) Hartman, Mrs. Roy (Emily) Johnson and Mrs. Larry (Alberta) Williams all of Patterson, Mrs. Earl (Mary) Tritchett of North Carolina, Mrs. Jackie (Alma) Shields of Baldwin, Mrs. Alan (Patricia) English of Maryland, Mrs. Curtis (Delores) Brooks, Mrs. Joseph (Joyce) Fine and Mrs. Emanuel (Shelia) Brooker, all of Franklin; 15 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

Mr. Dugas was preceded in death by his parents.
