Alleman-Adams married in May 28 ceremony
Rachel Lucretia Alleman and Kevin Joseph Adams Jr. were united in marriage May 28 in a 5 p.m. double-ring ceremony at Bayou Vista Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles Gilder officiated.
The bride is the daughter of Ray and Nancy Alleman of Patterson. She is the granddaughter of Harry “Neal” and Bonnie Willett of Leesville, and the late S.J. and Hazel Alleman.
The groom is the son of Wendy and Kevin Adams Sr. of Patterson. He is the grandson of Jessie and Ella Mae Cobbs of Berwick, and the late Charles and Marion Adams.
Decorating the church were baskets of ivory flowers flanking the altar, atop the altar table and in the foyer. Swags of blue tulle with bronze pew bows adorned railings. Balls of ivory roses adorned the piano and organ. Pews held bronze pew bows with blue tulle.
A memorial poem was read by Leida Orgeron, and readings from the bible were by Mamie Perry and Belinda Marshall.
The bride and groom presented roses to their mothers; the bride’s grandmother; Lennie Alleman, aunt of the bride; Mary Pitts, godmother of the bride; and Tammy Vining and Lois Arceneaux, godmothers of the groom.
Escorted in marriage by her father, the bride wore an ivory satin gown with champagne accents designed with a halter bodice embellished with floral lace appliques and beaded with champagne crystals and pearls. Bodice features included a lace-up back and a champagne sash attached with appliques. The split-front skirt and chapel-length train were embellished with matching lace appliques and beading.
A gold tiara comb of pearls and crystals held her chapel-length veil that was embellished to match her gown. Throughout her hair were clusters of gold with pearls and crystals.
Finishing her ensemble was pearl earrings belonging to Bonnie Willett and a strand of pearls that belonged to her great-grandmother, the late Florence Shockey. The six pence in her shoe was worn by her mother on her wedding day.
She carried a bouquet of ivory roses interspersed with pink sweetheart roses and iridescent ribbon centered by a cluster of large pink roses in remembrance of her grandmother. Stems were wrapped with ivory satin ribbon and embellished with pearl pins.
Matron of honor was Brandy Stansbury and maid of honor was Kasey Stratton, sister of the bride.
Bridesmaids were Megan Marshall, Brittany Marshall and Brandi Pius, cousins of the bride; Danielle Sparks and Cherie Hazel.
Junior bridesmaid was Asa Alleman, niece of the bride.
Attendants each wore a strapless, knee-length trumpet dress in Capri blue finished with a ruched champagne belt.
Each attendant wore a crystal and pearl comb in her hair.
They carried ivory rose bouquets accented with blue tulle and ivory ribbon.
Flower girl was Jazzlyn Foster, godchild of the bride.
She wore a tank-bodice gown in ivory floor-length satin with champagne beading around the empire waist.
The groom’s father was best man. Groomsmen were Dustin Lambas, Dustin Paddie, Chris Gulliout, Tyler Motes, Derek Orgeron and Billy Chapman, cousin of the groom.
Junior groomsman was Connor Campbell, cousin of the bride.
Ringbearer was Noah Stansbury.
Ushers were Ronald Marshall, cousin of the bride, and Henry Adams, cousin of the groom.
A reception followed at the St. Mary Senior Citizens Center in Morgan City.
For her going-away outfit, the bride wore a replica of the bridesmaids dress in ivory with a champagne ruched belt.
Prior to the wedding, the groom’s parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Bayou Vista Community Center. Food was prepared by the groom’s mother and Pam Motes.
The bride is a graduate of Patterson High School. She attends South Central Louisiana Technical College, Young Memorial Campus in Morgan City working on an associate’s degree in Accounting. She is a shift manager at McDonalds in Bayou Vista.
The groom is a graduate of PHS. He is a sales representative at Vida Paint & Supply in Morgan City.
The couple took a honeymoon cruise to the Caribbean and reside in Patterson.
