A.J. Dohmann defeated Candy Fleet, 6-1, while Taco Bell/KFC defeated Grizzly Marine by forfeit, both in Monday action at Spinella Park in Morgan City.

In A.J. Dohmann’s win, Caleb O’Con finished 3-for-3, while Tate Aucoin and Dominic Case each finished 2-for-3. Other top hitters included Gage Patureau, Collin Gowan, Andrew Cavalier, Aidan Gowan and Bryson Roy, all 1-for-2 and Angelo Viscardis, 1-for-3.

Rapid Trucking 12,

Candy Fleet 2

Dylan Duval, TyJon Folse and Keegan Lane all finished 3-for-3 as Rapid Trucking defeated Candy Fleet, 12-2, in youth baseball action Friday at Spinella Park.

Other top contributors include Elijah Brown, 2-for-2; JaQuan Gray, Mike Jones and Howard Kinchen, each 2-for-3; Drake Hue and Laurielle Bias, both 1-for-2; and Tylon Mobley and Domondrick Blackburn, each 1-for-3.

Ocean Marine 10,

Charlie’s Lanes 9

Zach Bennett drove in three as Ocean Marine edged Charlie’s Lanes, 10-9, in youth baseball action May 21 at Complex Park.

Bennett finished 1-for-2 and scored a run, while Jackson Butler finished 1-for-3 with an RBI, and Spencer Hebert and Zander Ledet each scored two runs.

In the loss, Trent Hillen finished 2-for-3 with two doubles, three RBIs and a run, while Tony Griffin was 2-for-2 with a double, an RBI and two runs and Jacoby Barney, 1-for-2, a triple, two RBIs and a run. Other contributors included Luke Freia, 1-for-1, three runs; and Tyrek Steele and Randy Fontenot, each 1-for-3 with a run.

Morgan City Rentals 14,

Gator Riggings 0

Luke Barbier and Matt Mire each homered as Morgan City Rentals stormed past Gator Riggings, 14-0.

Barbier finished 2-for-3 with a triple, four RBIs and three runs, while Mire also finished 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs.

Other top contributors for Morgan City Rentals included Dakota Gibson, 1-for-2, two runs; and Robbie Boudreaux and Tyjae Vaughns, each two runs.

Colin Crappell was 1-for-1 for Gator Riggings.

Grizzaffi 20,

Candy Fleet 5

Peyton Pickens finished 4-for-4 to lead Grizzaffi in its win against Candy Fleet May 21 at Spinella Park.

Riley Lodrigue finished 3-for-3 for Grizzaffi, while Ty Eschette, Hayden Robinson, Zaki Singleton, Zane Griffin and Tylon Hollins, all finished 3-for-4 in the win. Other top contributors included Kayden Adams, 2-for-2; Brennan Sauce, 2-for-3; and Ben Miller and Vernon Singleton, each 1-for-4.

For Candy Fleet, DeMari Watkins finished 3-for-3, while Gavin Ramagos was 2-for-2. Logan Hebert, Drew Miller and Carsyn Meador were all 2-for-3. Other top contributors Mason Comeaux, 1-for-2; and Mason Johnston and Yahir Zermeno each finished 1-for-3.

Gator Rigging 8,

Taco Bell 3

In St. Mary Central action, Gator Rigging defeated Taco Bell in 11- and 12-year-old action at the Bayou Vista Civic Center on May 21.

While Taco Bell plated three runs in the top of the first inning before an out was recorded, Gator Rigging regrouped and rallied for the win.

Gator Rigging tied the game at 3 in the bottom of the first inning and scored at least a run in every inning.

Adam Askew finished 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and two runs for Gator Rigging, while Ian Valdez finished 2-for-3 with a double, an RBI and a run. Zeph Hoffpauir also finished 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs.

On the mound, Luke Felterman earned the win. In four innings, he surrendered three runs on five hits with a walk and fanned five.

Valdez also pitched a perfect inning.

Rustin Ratcliff suffered the loss for Taco Bell. In 2.1 innings, he surrendered seven runs on four hits with six walks and strikeouts.

Lucas Hatch also pitched an inning and surrendered a run on two hits with three walks and two strikeouts, while Matthew Whittington fanned two and walked one in 0.2 innings of work.

Ratcliff finished 1-for-3 with a home run, two RBIs and a run, while Barrett Hover was 1-for-3 with a triple, an RBI and a run. Other top hitters included Alex Orlando, 1-for-2, a triple; Garrett Hotard, 1-for-2; and Whittington, 1-for-3.
