Adults can register for summer arts program
Registration for the fine arts portion of the Bayou Beaux Arts and Dance Program will end at 5 p.m. June 18 and is open to all St. Mary Parish residents who are at least 13-years-old.
That means adults are allowed to register for classes.
In-person registration is in the Office of Community Development on the second floor of City Hall in Franklin.
Instructions for e-mail registration are on the City of Franklin’s Web site (www.franklin-la.com). Registrants should click on the “Events Calendar.” Next, they should go to the month of May and click on “May 1” for complete instructions.
Registrants will receive an e-mail if their registration is complete, if information is missing, if they are on the waiting list, or if a class is closed. The time stamp on the e-mail will be used as the order by which to enroll students. If information is missing, registrants will receive an e-mail and must submit the missing information as soon as possible to make sure their registration is complete. A class will be considered closed when the open and the waiting-list spots are filled. Those on the waiting list will be contacted if there is a change in a class’s enrollment.
The drawing classes and encaustics classes will take place July 14, 21 and 28. Acrylics will be July 26-28.
The Bayou Beaux Arts and Dance Program will host its dance performance and art show on Aug. 4 at 5 p.m. at the Broussard-Harris Recreation Center in Franklin, Louisiana.
