4.0 Graduates -- Morgan City High School
Seven seniors will lead the 2013 graduating class of Morgan City High School during commencement exercises at 7 p.m. Friday at the Morgan City Municipal Auditorium.
All seven seniors maintained a 4.0 grade point average throughout high school. There are 170 graduates in this class.
Andrew Albritton is the son of Herman and Tammy Albritton. He plans to major in biology: pre-med at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.
He was a member of Beta Club for four years, SADD and student council for three years, Historical Society and Quiz Bowl for two years and worked as a Tiger Tracks mentor for one year. Albritton participated on swim team for four years and on the Tri-City Swim Team for eight years.
Albritton received numerous awards including lettering for varsity swim team, several other swimming awards, was a commended student in the National Merit Scholarship Program, took second in the Patriot’s Pen Veterans of Foreign Wars essay contest and received numerous departmental awards.
Joshua Glatter is the son of Michael and Dawn Glatter. He plans to attend the University of Louisiana at Monroe majoring in pharmacy.
He was a member of Beta Club and the school’s baseball team for four years.
Glatter has received the Honesty and Integrity Award, numerous departmental awards and was named an All-District Outfielder.
Cayde Mosley is the daughter of Junior and Carrie Adams. She plans to attend Louisiana Tech University majoring in biomedical engineering.
She was a member of student council for four years, SADD and Beta Club for three years, Historical Society for two years and Quiz Bowl and Tiger Tracks Mentors for one year. She also was a cheerleader for three years.
Mosley received two departmental awards and was on the principal’s list all four years she was in high school.
Kaitlyn Percle is the daughter of Kip and Lynne Percle. She plans to attend Southeastern Louisiana University and major in graphic design.
She was a member of student council for four years; Beta Club, Historical Society and SADD for two years and a member of Tiger Tracks Mentors for one year. She was a cheerleader for four years and on the swim team one year.
Percle attended Literary Rally representing her school and received several departmental awards.
Stephanie Roach is the daughter of Angela and Stephen Roach. She plans to major in biology at Nicholls State University.
She has been a member of Beta Club for four years, in the gifted program for seven years, student council for three years, SADD and Historical Society for two years and a Tiger Tracks Mentor for one year. She was on the swim team for two years.
She received a Sleca scholarship and TOPS.
Kayla South is the daughter of Michelle South, and she plans to attend Louisiana State University to major in pre-veterinary medicine: wildlife and fisheries.
She has been a member of the school band, student council and Quiz Bowl team for four years; Historical Society for two years; and Foreign Language Society and Tiger Tracks Mentors for one year.
She was the school and parish Student of the Year, won the Masonic Honesty and Integrity Award, National Merit Scholarship Letter of Commendation, numerous departmental awards and placed third at District Literary Rally.
David Tran is the son of Truong Tran and Mary Nguyen. He plans to major in electrical engineering at Louisiana State University.
He was a member of Beta Club, SADD and student council for three years; Historical Society for two years; and was a Tiger Tracks Mentor for one year. He also played soccer for three years.
